Helping users of haproxy.org with checking if a site is down or not

Hello there ,

I have used the website status tool you mentioned on your page here:
haproxy.org/news.html

While tools.pingdom.com does a good job, it's not really user-friendly and
doesn't work quite fast.
I did some exploring and found the other tool below. It's ad-free, quite
straightforward and fast to load and I wanted to suggest you show it
alongside the other one:

https://www.websiteplanet.com/webtools/down-or-not

This tool allows you to check if your website is down across the globe or
only on your computer screen, and it's quite quick and easy to use (and it's
completely free, too!) : -)

I hope I was able to return the favor,

Alejandra

Well, at least you made me try but my experience is the exact opposite :
- first a full screen pop-up that I have to manually close which suggests
to bookmark the page
- second, confusing mix of upper case and lower case in the URL
- third, incorrect rendering of the preview page
- fourth, except for "up", IP and response time, there's no useful
information. The other one gives lots more information and waterfalls.

So I'm a bit surprised by your suggestion, are you affiliated in any way
to this site ? If so, I wouldn't necessarily be against adding an extra
link to help gain a bit of visibility, but this is not exactly what I'd
call a honest approach, and in either case I'm not motivated to go any
further.

Thanks,
Willy
